Frequently Asked Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

In order to get the best experience out of Learn Any Job you may want to review some of the FAQ's featured below.
      • Currently, Learn Any Job is a service that is only available for U.K residents who must be eligible to work in the U.K. LearnAnyJob.com is affiliated with Learn Any Job limited a U.K registered company that supports U.K employment and the continued growth of the U.K economy.
      • Learn Any Job is not a recruitment agency. We provide a directory that serves as a gateway between Job Seekers, Employers, and Charities. We believe in keeping things simple and transparent between the different groups that use the service. The aim is to create an autonomous environment where Employers can benefit from feedback generated by each other.

LearnAnyJob.com has an option for Employers and Charities to write references on Job Seeker profiles. These references are added onto profiles after a period of temporary work (i.e work experience, short-term contract, freelance) has successfully been completed by the candidate.

As an Employer who then wants to seek the best recruit for a permanent position, it will be possible to filter candidates by the most pro-active and have built up the most references. Employers can then read through these verified references and make their assumptions on an individual’s character and work ethic from this.

      • An Employer or Charity will only provide a reference to a candidate profile after an agreed period of temporary work has been completed and if a candidate’s behaviour and contribution have been satisfactory. Although there is no legal obligation for an Employer to provide a reference you can contact the support team at Learn Any Job if you have not received a reference 14 days after completing a period of temporary work. We will then aim to resolve outstanding issues regarding your reference.

      • LearnAnyJob.com is a gateway for Job Seekers to connect with Employers and Charities. It is important to understand that LearnAnyJob.com is not your employer and is not accountable for what happens on the premises of a business or charity when carrying out temporary work.

Learn Any Job is merely a directory service for individuals who value building up an evidence of practical experience over financial reward.

However, the employers and charities who use the site will be checked to see if they are a registered and reputable business when they sign up. It is the responsibility of the employer and charity to have adequate health & safety procedures in place on their premises.

      • Learn Any Job is a stepping stone to your desired job. Achieving your dream job is a combination of having qualifications and work experience. Learn Any Job cannot pass exams and attend university or college for you which is half of the battle. However, we can provide a directory service of temporary work within your desired field of interest that will give you the opportunity to complement the qualifications you already have on your C.V.

Employers and Charities will only be interested in offering work experience and short-term contracts to individuals they believe can contribute and offer something back to them.

Although acquiring work experience and short-term work is less competitive then gaining permanent employment you are still expected to demonstrate that you can contribute and give something back to your Employer or Charity.

If you are unsuccessful in getting work experience it is recommended that you continue building up relevant qualifications.

      • Learn Any Job is ideal for anyone who is struggling to get into their desired industry and has relevant qualifications and/or previous experience within that industry.

If you are long-term unemployed it is essential that pro-longed gaps of inactivity on your C.V are avoided. The longer you stay out of work within your desired field of interest the harder it will be to get a permanent job. Utilising temporary work is an ideal way to showcase your ability, network, and get your foot in the door. Applying for hundreds of permanent well-paid positions is not an attribute that will enable you to pass an actual interview and months and then years can soon fly by without relevant experience on your C.V.

It is important to always stay active in your field of interest and to keep your practical skills up to date. If you value your evidence of hands-on experience then Learn Any Job is the right place for you.

      • It is recommended that a telephone conversation or Skype video call is carried out to decide between the successful candidate for temporary work after applications have been received. This will be a swifter process then an on-premise interview and agreements on work expectations can be set out during the phone or Skype conversation.

      • If we receive a report that a candidate has not attended an agreed work experience opportunity without good reason and without giving an employer any notice then that profile will be deleted from the site. Also if a candidates behaviour has been reported as unsatisfactory then their profile will be deleted immediately from the site and all previous verified employer references will be lost.

      • The job search can be split between build experience and entry-level jobs. Build experience includes all the temporary work, such as work experience, short-term contracts, and internships. It is the temporary work where you receive a reference from the employer after completing.

The entry-level jobs are all permanent jobs, such as apprenticeships and permanent graduate positions.
